Paul Smiths, NY - THe women's soccer team was on the road Saturday playing conference opponent Paul Smith's College.
The first 8:21 minutes of the game were played well by our Knights holding off a few attacks by the Bobcats until their striker Katey Snyder broke free and put a goal in. 17 minutes later their other striker broke loose in the box and tapped in a great save by Paige Perkins who again did a great job in net for the Knights. Then the Knights got a few opportunities the rest of the first half but couldn't convert, down 2-0 at the half.
In the second half the Knights created a few more opportunities than they had in the first half, but we just couldn't find the net. At the 65 min mark #25 Annie DeHaven broke free from our last defender and slotted a shot low and away for a goal. The Bobcats tallied one more at the 84:40 mark off a corner kick which was perfectly redirected into the goal. The Knights travel to Maine next week to take on conference opponents UMaine Machias and Unity.
