Randolph, Vt. — The Vermont State University Randolph men's soccer team hit the road for a two-game weekend series in Maine, earning a hard-fought 2–1 win over Me.-Augusta on Saturday before falling 7–0 to #1 ranked Central Maine CC on Sunday.

October 11, 2025 – Augusta, ME
The Knights opened the weekend with a gritty 2–1 victory over Me.-Augusta, powered by a brace from freshman forward Henry Gibson.
Gibson opened the scoring in the 36th minute, capitalizing on a defensive miscue to give Randolph the lead. He doubled the advantage early in the second half, converting a penalty kick in the 53rd minute to make it 2–0.
Me.-Augusta pulled one back in the 80th minute when Guilaume Le Merour finished off a pass from Isaac Austin, but the Knights' defense held firm in the closing minutes to secure the win.
Randolph outshot Augusta 19–9 and earned a 7–2 edge in corner kicks. Goalkeeper Gabe Sokolnicki made three saves to pick up the win in goal.

October 12, 2025 – Auburn, ME
Less than 24 hours later, the Knights faced a tough test against Central Maine CC, falling 7–0 to the undefeated Mustangs.
Central Maine applied relentless pressure throughout the match, racking up 40 shots and building a 3–0 lead by halftime. Daniel Semple and Mitch Cameron led the attack, combining for five goals and multiple assists.
Goalkeeper Gabe Sokolnicki turned in a season-high 16 saves, but the Mustangs' offense proved too much as they added four more goals in the second half.
The Knights managed three shots on the day, including one on goal from Blake Baker, but couldn't break through against Central Maine's backline.
